The 2019 BMW I8 was released a year ago, and the company is hoping to get it out on the road before the end of the year.
The i8 will be available in both black and red trim and will be powered by a 1.4-liter flat-six engine, which BMW claims is “one of the fastest” in its line-up.
We’ll find out more about the 2019 BMW Drive at the end with the official press release.
First, let’s start with the specs.
2018 BMW i3: Model: i8Model year: 2018Model years: 2018 2018 i3 and i8 models will be offered with a 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-6 engine in all versions.
The engine is a 1,400-horsepower 2.0 liter flat-four.
It comes with an output of 675 hp and 657 lb-ft of torque, which should give the i8 an impressive output of 260 hp and 275 lb-foot of torque.
I8 will come with a 5-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which is also standard on the 2018 i3.
The automatic will be controlled by an on-board computer.
At the moment, BMW doesn’t specify the EPA ratings of the i3 or i8.
We can assume that the i7 model will be the benchmark.
