BMW today announced the 2017 total for its U.N. Sales Division (UNSD) with a record $3,6 billion.
The company also announced its full year sales for the Americas and Europe for the year ended September 30, 2017.
The year-over-year gain was $2.7 billion, or 4.3%.
The new record sales figure was the highest for any BMW brand in the company’s history and was driven by a strong performance in the 2017 model year, including the launch of the i3 sedan and i8 compact SUV.
The i8 and i9 will be the companys first luxury SUV.BMW also announced a record amount of global sales of more than 2.5 billion units in 2018, the company said.BMWs U.K. sales also rose to $1.5 trillion in 2018 and $2 trillion in 2019, up 11% and 17% respectively.
